I have some interesting news to share this week regarding list building.
I consider list building, and by that I mean and email list of fans, the most important thing you can do as an author. I'll repeat, before you do anything, besides writing or publishing, make sure you have some way to attract your fans to your list.

One of the great things about Jutoh is it's very easy to make compilations. I have a video about making a compilation in Jutoh. You know that I love it, but one of the problems that I found was I had an older book from a client that was re-edited, and now I need to put the new edited version in. I was thinking to myself, how can I do this without re-doing the whole thing?
In this episode I'm going to show you how to take a document, either Word or Open document or some other format that's readable by Jutoh and explain the easy way to use a template.

Like I said, I'm going to take my Word document, which is from one of my clients, and use my base template which has all my styles and other things set up and basically just import everything so it works and you've got 90% of your work done. I will have a copy of this template below. You can click on and download it and modify it or do whatever you want.
Welcome to the journey! I am going to write about starting an author name almost from scratch. I say almost because I had a few books out in early 2014, but they have all been unpublished for more than a year. Yes, I sucked at the time, but I have learned a lot since then and have a fairly successful pen name in another genre.

Many of you have signed up for updates and haven't received squat. Why? Well, I've been busy and remember I told you no spam? I meant it. I do have some news though. I have finally decided to put out books under my actual name, not just pen names that you may or may not know about.
What does that mean for you?
Well, I'm going to blog about going from zero to, well, wherever I end up. Honestly. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the stuff no one talks about.
What I'm going to do is a quick video if you have a book report; or, you could do this manually. Enter this data into a database. This goes into my system, which you won't have, but it'll give you an idea of what you can do. I guess you could do it with an Excel spreadsheet, but it gets crazy. Too many rows and it's too hard to work with after a long time.
